国際バカロレア（IB）のMYP候補校に認定されました
Kaichi Tokorozawa Primary and Secondary School is a Candidate School* for the MYP. This school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. These are schools that share a common philosophy—a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that Kaichi Tokorozawa Primary and Secondary School believes is important for our students.
*Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme (DP) or the Career-related Programme (CP). 開智所沢小・中等教育学校は、国際バカロレア（IB）Middle Years Programmeの候補校（※）です。本校は、IBワールドスクール（ＩＢ認定校）としての認定に向けた申請段階にあります。IBワールドスクールは、「質の高い、チャレンジに満ちた国際教育に信念をもって取り組む」という理念を共有する学校です。開智所沢小・中等教育学校も、このような教育に取り組むことが、生徒にとって大切であると信じています。
国際バカロレア機構より認定を受けた学校のみが、国際バカロレア機構の提供する4つのプログラムである「初等教育プログラム（PYP）」、「中等教育プログラム（MYP）」、「ディプロマプログラム（DP）」、「キャリア関連プログラム（CP）」を導入することができます。候補校であることは認定を保証するものではありません。国際バカロレア機構および国際バカロレア機構の提供するプログラムに関する詳細はwww.ibo.orgをご確認ください。

We applied to the International Baccalaureate Organisation to treat the primary and secondary schools as integrated schools, and we applied under the name Kaichi Tokorozawa Primary and Secondary School.
※開智所沢小学校・開智所沢中等教育学校のそれぞれが埼玉県から認可を受けた正式名称です。
国際バカロレア機構へは、小学校と中等教育学校を一貫校という扱いで申請するために、開智所沢小学校・中等教育学校という名称で申請しました。
**Mission Statement from the IB
The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment. These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.
